We get it. We’d ask the same thing. That’s why we want to be transparent.
Pawprints is run by a group of high schoolers, not a big organisation with layers of admin. Every rupee goes directly to the streets, to the paws that need it most.
Here’s exactly how your support helps:
1. Emergency Medical Care
Injuries. Accidents. Parvo. Distemper. Mange.
We see it all.
Your donation helps pay for:
-Vet consultations and injections
-Surgeries (like leg fractures or maggot wounds)
-Medications and follow-up treatments
-IV drips and tests when dogs are critical
One emergency case can cost anywhere from ₹500 to ₹6,000, depending on the severity. Without donations, we often have to pool our pocket money or delay treatment.
2. Sterilisation Drives

Street dogs keep multiplying, which leads to:
-Puppy deaths from starvation or disease
-Aggression due to mating fights
-More strays without support
A single sterilisation costs around ₹1,500–₹2,000 and it changes the life of that dog and dozens of future ones.
We’ve sterilised tens of dogs, but there’s a long way to go.
3. Feeding Programs
We cover several feeding routes, especially during:
-Heatwaves
-Rainy season
-Cold nights
Your donation buys:
-20–25 kg rice/wheat
-Chicken waste or paneer
-Dog food or biscuits when needed
-Clean water bowls
₹500 can feed 15–20 dogs for a day.
4. Basic Care Supplies
Sometimes what saves a life isn’t surgery. It’s prevention.
Donations help us buy:
-Tick and flea meds
-Antiseptic sprays
-Collars, leashes, and crates
-Temporary shelter tarps or dog beds during monsoons
5. Rescues and Transport
From carrying injured dogs to the vet to shifting pups to foster homes, we often need:
-Auto rickshaws or pet taxis
-Crates or carriers
-Gloves, towels, and basic rescue gear
Transport costs can range from ₹100 to ₹1,000 depending on the case.
